My name is Dani (she/her), I live in Bournemouth a few minutes from the ocean. I love to be in or around the water, the solace it brings at times and community it draws together at others. I created ‘The Soulty Surfer’ in 2021. It combines my passion for wellness, surfing, meditation, yoga, cold water immersion and community, and a desire to share these things with others.

I’ll help you to feel more connected, confident and flexible in your body and mind. Supporting you on land and in the water
In my sessions, I combine fluidity of movement with breath and mindfulness, promoting strength and flexibility of mind and body. Together, we will cover breathwork, yoga postures ‘asanas’ and meditation, learning how to bring the fundamentals of mindfulness and spirituality to your life outside of sessions.

Class spotlight (Summer)
Beach bonfires, moon themed yoga + fire baked food
Slow down and settle into a yoga class on the beach under the moon. During the summer we will practise a grounding yoga flows accompanied by the calming sound of the waves. After the class huddle around the bonfire, enjoying fresh fire-baked foods prepared just for you.

WHY PRACTICE yoga?
BODY: STRENGTH + MOBILITY
The physical posture practice of yoga focuses on balance, strength and body awareness and encourages our bodies to be strong and healthy. In yoga we mobilise the joints, tone and stretch the muscles through active and passive engagement.
BREATH: PRANAYAMA + BREATHWORK
Pranayama is the practice of breath regulation; a main component of yoga. In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control. As well as breath exercise, we match breath to movement during a class, supporting our mental and physical state. We learn we can regulate mood and energy.
Stoke/ flow state
Yoga, meditation and surfing are activities that can completely absorb our focus, we may find ourselves fully immersed, and our busy minds quiten for a while. Regularly entering the "flow state of mind" enables us to be happier and more peaceful.

Refresh your body and soul, relax and have fun. Join me for an opportunity to connect with yourself through yoga, breathwork and meditation practices, with nature on the beautiful beaches of Dorset.
Take this opportunity to re-wild, with the elements of cold sea and warm sauna and maybe a hike along the Jurassic Coastline too.
