Wild Cornish Coastal Retreat

Rest. Reconnect. Reawaken.

POLZEATH, cornwall

SOULFUL ADVENTURE AND SEASONAL RESET FRI 31 Oct – MON 3 Nov 2025

SOULFUL ADVENTURE AND SEASONAL RESET

As the light softens and the seasons begin their slow descent into winter, we’re invited to pause, to turn inward, to listen, and to gently let go. This retreat is your invitation to honour that turning. A time to exhale, to soften, and to reconnect with the quiet power of your inner world.

Held by the wild Cornish coast and the spacious beauty of Highcliffe, this four day retreat offers a soulful surrender to the rhythms of nature. Through grounding movement, breathwork and still reflection, we’ll meet ourselves just as we are, without rushing and without striving.

This is a meeting place, where adventure and stillness sit side by side. Where the outward energy of hiking, sea swims and surfing, gently fold into the inward pull of slow movement, ambient evenings and silent practices. Like the season itself, we’ll explore the dance between doing and being, between expression and rest. It is here, in this balance that openness emerges.

Think wild dips and windswept walks, grounding yoga, nourishing food, and moments to play, pause and simply be. Most of all, this is a space to truly rest. A space to move, to be held, to reflect, and to reconnect. With yourself, with the elements, and with the quiet wisdom of this turning point in the year.

Come as you are. Leave rooted, renewed and gently reawakened.

A GENTLE DAILY RHYTHM

Each day on retreat follows a steady, nourishing rhythm. Structured just enough to support you, yet spacious enough to let you rest, explore, or simply be.

Here’s a taste of what a day might look like:

Mornings begin with coastal stillness—perhaps a sea dip, a windswept walk, or a warm cup of tea. We’ll gather in the yoga studio for grounding morning flow followed by a nourishing breakfast.

Late mornings and afternoons are yours to explore or exhale. Join a group hike along the South West Coast Path, book a massage, dip in the ocean, surf, journal, or rest in a sunlit corner with a book. In house massages are available each afternoon with our retreat massage therapist, Nina Vivian, offering you the chance to fully soften and unwind in the comfort of the retreat space.

Evenings bring us back together for restorative practices; yin, meditation, or yoga nidra. This will be followed by a cosy dinner and optional ambient rituals like journaling, guided silence, or simply resting in good company.

A Typical Day:

7:30 AM – Beach walk & optional sea dip

9:00 AM – Breakfast

10:30 AM – Morning yoga & breathwork

12:00 PM – Free time (massage, surf, hike, journaling, rest)

5:00 PM – Restorative or yin yoga + meditation

7:00 PM – Dinner

Evening – Settle into optional mindful drawing, journaling, or quiet time in the lounge, or simply unwind and connect with others in the shared space.

WHO IT’S FOR

This retreat is for anyone craving space. Space to breathe, to move, to rest and to return to what matters. But it’s also for those looking to reconnect with contentment, with nature and with one another.

It’s for those who feel nourished by both adventure and stillness. For people who love to laugh, share stories over tea, dive into the sea at sunset, and sit in silence under the stars. It’s for those who find meaning in deep conversations and spontaneous joy, in slow walks and salty swims, in movement that uplifts and connection that grounds.

Whether you’re navigating a season of change or simply craving time away from the rush, this weekend offers a return, to presence, to community, and to your own inner rhythm. You don’t need to be experienced in yoga or wellness practices; you just need to come with an open heart.

Come solo, come with a friend either way, you’ll be warmly welcomed into a collective of kind souls.

Just bring yourself. There’s space for all of you here.

  • Founder of The Soulty Surfer

Dani is a yoga teacher, movement guide, sea lover, and founder of The Soulty Surfer. Her path into wellness began with stillness when she lived and trained for over six years in a Zen Buddhist meditation centre, where she deepened her understanding of presence, silence, and the healing power of simply sitting with what is.

She is a 200hr Yoga Alliance certified vinyasa and ashtanga teacher, a 50hr Yin Yoga & Meditation teacher, and a long-time student of breathwork, nervous system support and cold water immersion therapy.

Community has always been central to her work, she began volunteering at the age of 13 and has worked professionally as both a teacher and community development officer, supporting youth projects and grassroots initiatives.

This will be Dani’s first time hosting an overnight retreat, and it feels especially meaningful to offer it on the wild Cornish coast, one of her most beloved places to surf, rest, and reconnect. She’ll be guiding the daily rhythm of the retreat and holding space for stillness, movement, play, and deep restoration.
